Carmen the Lebanese humanist versus ignorant Syrian laborers!

Even when they pretend to care, the Lebanese cannot but be themselves: Bigoted! How did the DailyStar & the gentle 'intellectual' (standing near Carmen) know that the opposing demonstration was 'Syrian laborers'?
'Poetic Carmen & the man who knows 'blue-collar' by the looks of it'
"... When asked about those protesting in support of Assad’s regime, an activist standing next to Carmen said that it is “sad that Syrian laborers are being abused by elements of the Syrian regime in Lebanon.”...  Surrounded by a crowd of Syrian workers, Dirani told The Daily Star that they had gathered to prevent any anti-regime demonstrations in Hamra.... ... But anti-regime activists denied that a rally in solidarity with the Syrian people would harm bilateral relations between the two countries. “No movement or rally can harm bilateral relations more than the harm caused by the Syrian regime,” said journalist Wajih Ajouz (Who works for MBC, the Saudi channel, a great admirer of the Saudis and, to burnish his Arab nationalist credentials, "the PLO", as his ramblings on Facebook would testify!) ...."

You left something out.
Surrounded by a crowd of Syrian workers, Dirani told The Daily Star that they had gathered to prevent any anti-regime demonstrations in Hamra.

“We are here to ban any wrong opinions, which could harm the Syrian-Lebanese relations,” said Dirani.

But anti-regime activists denied that...

Are we to assume that quote was fabricated? It is your page, but I have to check you more often than I'd like. Assad may be a stabilizing force, and the Saudis may be backing Salafists, but they all suck.

Carry on.

Thanks for the first Anon to point out that FLC didn't put the whole article on the page. Thank you FLC(ers) for not doing so!... that would have been a waste of reading space, seeing how journalism standards in that region have become disgraceful partly from the delusional and mentally prepubescent children that are hired to write and "report".

carry on.

Anonymous2,
The enemy of my enemy is not my friend. He's not someone to rely on or to trust. And when our common enemy is gone, he's next. So I don't want any cheap defenses of Assad any more than of his opposition.
I come here hoping to read the opinions of adults not PR men (unless of course they've got little yellow stripes highlighting the fun stuff)

please.
