I think I agree with the main argument, that the bulk of Americans are fair-minded, but I disagree with Mr. Khouri's characterization of President Obama's statement on the mosque question as "forceful." He acknowledged putative American religious freedom, but then said he could not vouch for the wisdom of the building's location. If Americans get sound leadership, their fair-mindedness is much more apparent.
