علمت «السفير»، امس، أن وزير الخارجية المغربي الطيب الفاسي الفهري عقد اجتماعا مع نظيره الإسرائيلي افيغدور ليبرمان، وذلك في أول مؤشرات استعداد الدول العربية الاستجابة لطلب الرئيس الأميركي باراك أوباما تطبيع العلاقات مع إسرائيل.وكما يحدث عادة في اجتماعات بعض المسؤولين العرب مع الإسرائيليين، فإن المسؤولين في البعثة المغربية في نيويورك رفضوا تأكيد الخبر أو نفيه، وسألوا بدلا عن ذلك عن مصدره. أما البعثة الإسرائيلية فأكدت حدوث الاجتماع،.وكانت الإذاعة الإسرائيلية ذكرت أن رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو يعتزم لقاء وزيري خارجية البحرين وقطر، وربما مع مسؤولين آخرين في هاتين الدولتين، في مسعى لتطبيع العلاقات مجددا معهما.

Al «Ambassador», said yesterday that the Moroccan Foreign Minister Taieb Fassi Fahri held a meeting with his Israeli counterpart, Avigdor Lieberman, the first indicators of Arab countries to respond to the request of U.S. President Barack Obama, the normalization of relations with Israel.
As often happens in the meetings of some Arab officials with the Israelis, the officials at the Moroccan Mission in New York declined to confirm or deny the news, and asked instead about its origin. The Israeli delegation confirmed a meeting, and Fahri and Lieberman discussed ways to advance the peace process forward.
The Israeli radio reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu plans to meet the foreign ministers of Bahrain, Qatar, and possibly with other officials in these countries, in an effort to normalize relations with them again
