“We are leaving Qatar now for Saudi Arabia!”

(AFP) - "... Iraq’s fugitive Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi, who is accused of running a death squad, has left the Gulf state of Qatar for Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, a close aide told AFP news agency.

“We are leaving Qatar now for Saudi Arabia,” the aide said, who spoke on condition of anonymity. The Qatar News Agency reported that Hashemi had left Doha.

“He left on Wednesday morning at the end of an official visit of several days and he was seen off at the airport by Shaikh Hamad Bin Nasser al-Thani, the state minister,” the official news agency reported. 

Saudi Arabia, however, is yet to confirm his reported arrival...."
