The Syrian Army collapsed (but you did not feel it!)

"... He said only a third of the army was at combat readiness due to defections or absenteeism, while remaining troops were demoralised, most of its Sunni officers had fled, been arrested, or sidelined, and its equipment was degraded...
"There is no time," he said. "There is a serious acceleration under way due to the collapse of the army and the security system.
"We want very urgent intervention, outside of the security council due to the Russian veto. We want a coalition similar to what happened in Kosovo and the Ivory Coast."
..."

The war of hidden feelings:
A Washington Post journalist who got the chance to visit Hama:
"Everything looks calm, the city is beautiful, but there's a hidden sense of anti-govt feelings".
another one:
"All indications are the govt is in control, however not what people secretly say: Ahmad, a street vendor, not his name for security reason said the govt collapsed"!
Another one:
"The Syrian Army collapsed, but please make an intervention like Kosovo and Ivory Coast because we can't fight a collapsed army even we are in tens of thousands and backed by the entire NATO and Arab League members as well as israel, and the whole Sunni officers from the army has left it to join us"!
Welcome to modern journalism, it's everything else but journalism.
