According to an incremental plan, Turkey will start supporting tougher UN resolutions if the regime fails to live up to the expectations of the international community. The strongest message yet to the Syrian leadership was conveyed by Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, who spoke with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's special envoy, Hassan Turkmani, earlier this week. “We underlined that Turkish support to Syria hinges on the willingness of the Syrian government to adopt sweeping reforms in the country. why they don't start cleaning their own house first:they are the number one country for jailed journalists, they discriminate totally against alawis and ismaiilis who can't have their own proper religious places, they deal with the kurds as dirt and have a very black record in killing them!
I don't think that they are in such a strong position to patronize Syria because by having the policy of gatekeepers to us-zionist interests they are alienating their own neighborhood :Iran,Iraq, and possibly Armenia and that will have economical(they want to become a hub for pipelines),financial and strategic consequences,That will lead the above cited minoritiesin Turkey to become more bold and if ,one day in the future they will join hands(allawis, schiites, ismailis and kurds)they will be the majority of the people (15 millions allawis,17 millions kurds,2 millions schiites and a million ismaiilis).Talking of the zero problem approach, what a hubris!
