Obama says Assad can no longer rule through force & must change if he is to get international acceptance

May be international acceptance (which is mercurial at best!) is not what Assad wants. He is looking for a place in the Arab world and his constituency is there. For all its blustering the West will have to 'accept' the reality on the ground that Assad will stay and damn the rest of the 'civilized world' (Hiroshima? Dresden? Extermination of native Indians? Colonial rule for more than two centuries? Massacres in the Philippines? in Cuba? in Latin America?) Yes, the 'civilized world' can stay out of ours!!!
