Hariri told Assistant Secretary of State, David Hale (08BEIRUT1783) that the MIGs are good for March14, that they will prevent another May 7 episode (during which Hezbollah & allies routed Hariri's militia in a precise surgical operation), and that the fighters will 'complicate' Israel's sorties over Lebanon, hence negating the very raison d'etre of Hezbollah's arsenal. Hariri also told Hale that Hezbollah did not factor in news of the Russian gift well ... That he (Hariri) saw that through the coverage of Al Manar.
