How much politics in Lebanon is "an internal affair"??? Thats the heart of the problem. You have The West pushing the tribunal, apparently content to let sectarian divisions continue and worsen.
You also have Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Turkey all trying to showoff their regional diplomacy by creating peace deals and you have Iran pouring money into Hezbollah to stop Israel invading again.
"Internal Affair" ha.
As for Elliot Abrams previous comment that "Hariri is finished" well coming from a neocon that probably means Hariri will rule for the next 25 years.
PS: Doesn't the Lebanese constitution say that the PM is always Sunni? As part of the deal. Can't see any other figure that would get picked.
PPS: I suspect this whole crisis will be over in a few days, just a hunch. Hezbollah seem too smart to cause an national crisis. I don't see where there interests would be in having things domestically get out of control.

"Can't see any other [sunni] figure that would get picked [as prime minister]."
Najib Mikati is a very well suited prime minister.
