DIBKA (in Mubarak-Egyptian): "STL to ask the UNSC to impose sanctions on Lebanon..."

"... The website cited the source who stressed that the agreement was signed between Lebanon and the court and is therefore a commitment by the Lebanese state itself and not a particular government – implying that any government which comes to power must fulfill this international obligation. He added that US assistant Secretary Jeffrey Feltman has convinced the court to carry out trials in absentia for potentially indicted Hezbollah members if the Lebanese government refused to extradite them to the court. The Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) would ask Security Council to impose sanctions on Lebanon if the government failed to fulfil its international obligation, Israeli media reported.   “The Lebanese government is obligated to contribute 49 per cent of the international tribunal's cost, keep the Lebanese judges and extradite suspects to the court” a source close to the tribunal told Tid Dibka, an Israeli website specializing in intelligence. ...... implying that any government which comes to power must fulfill this international obligation."

Debka is a fraud. It should be completely ignored. Every time someone goes to the site, he is giving money to a bunch of scam artists. Debka invents fake news in order to get eyeballs....
To the best of my knowledge its one or two private people exploiting people’s interest in middle east related news. They make money from ads as the content is all invented by them. They are quite creative and make sure their stories do not sound crazy but it is all fiction with no real news.

Strong words that should be backed up with some examples. DEBKA's lurid stories often refer to specific names and events, e.g., behind-the-scenes meetings, or specific types of military hardware alleged to have changed hands. It would seem easy for someone in the know to challenge the veracity of these reports if they are indeed all made up. DEBKA's vitriolic interpretations are another issue, but do you really think they simply make up what they present as facts?

Anyone else have opinions on this?
