Obama warns Erdogan over Israel, weapons & Iran ...

President Barack Obama meets with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan
Dangling the PKK for better blackmail. Will Turkey need a repeat of the "Elias-Murr-Support-Raffle"? In the FT:
"...... “The president has said to [Recep Tayyip] Erdogan that some of the actions that Turkey has taken have caused questions to be raised on the Hill [Congress] . . . about whether we can have confidence in Turkey as an ally," one senior administration official told the Financial Times. "That means that some of the requests Turkey has made of us, for example in providing some of the weaponry that it would like to fight the PKK, will be harder for us to move through Congress,” ....."

What weaponry would that be? Anti-satellite missiles? Nuclear submarines? Aircraft carriers? F-22s? F-35s? Any weaponry that Turkey needs to fight the PKK it can either manufacture itself or buy elsewhere. Perhaps Erdogan needs to be more forthright with Washington than Elias Murr and tell it to "fuck off".

I say Turkey replies:

"Fine, if you feel like that we are pulling our 2000 troops out of Afghanistan. Good luck with it though."

In fairness it is time the US realised who its real allies are.
