I usually don't mind Robert Fisk's works. I read his book The Great War for Civilisation and it is epic in both pages and of the story it tells.
I mean he has been the single biggest Western reporter on the Middle East including first journalist on the scene minutes after the Sabra and Shatilla massacre. Interviewed Bin Laden twice (before 9-11), In Baghdad unembedded during the First Gulf War and during Shock and Awe. Covered the Iran-Iraq war from the front lines for several years. Covered the Israeli attack on Lebanon from his home in Beirut. Spent time with the Afghan resistance during the Soviet Invasion.
The guy has seen a lot and tells the truth more than 90% of Journalists. His views regarding Israel/ The US wars are all on the hostile side.
