"A western diplomat tells POLITICO that talks that got underway between Iran and the U.S., France, and Russia at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna today will continue tomorrow. "The discussions will go on tomorrow," he said. "There was a first round of discussions on a variety of issues today and there is a need to go more into details. We hope they can lead to something concrete."
"There is no reason for the Iranians to refuse the proposal that is being made to them to get assurances of fuel delivery, for the production of the medical isotopes they need," he added.
Iran sent a lower level diplomat to the talks. Earlier the IAEA's Mohamed ElBaradei said the talks had gotten off to a good start."
