The horrific pogrom of Hebron!

"... In August 1929, that community was suddenly and brutally attacked. Incited by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Arab rioters swept through Palestine. In Hebron, the carnage was horrendous. ......A surviving yeshiva student recounted that he "had seen greater horrors than Dante in hell."

.............nearly 40 years later, after the Six-Day War of 1967, a small group of religious Zionists returned to Hebron ...... relentlessly vilified as fanatics who illegally occupy someone else's land. ....."

Interesting piece by the bastion of establishment thinking the Wall St Journal.

I've never read about this chapter in the long Israeli Palestine saga before so it was an interesting read.

But of course the bias comes through in the piece. "Israeli's lived in Hebron for 3 milliea" amoung his more dubious claims.

And of course, naturally, accounts of the Palestinians Nabka would never stain the pages of the Wall St Journal. It's all about the narrative and for WSJ the narrative gets written by the victors.
