Kerry says it best: "The Iran 'specter' has created an unprecedented willingness among moderate Arab nations to work with Israel..."

Makes you wonder about that 'specter' doesn't it? The Neocons would be proud! As for Syria, look west and you'll be happy. Any mention of the occupied Golan? Haaretz, here
"We should have no illusion that Syria will immediately end its ties to Iran," Kerry said, "but that shouldn't threaten us as long as their relationship ceases to destabilize the region." "It benefits Syria if Assad looks west for new relationships," Kerry said. "The sanctions can always be tightened again if Syria backtracks," he said.

Apparently Senator Kerry has not learned anything from recent developments. He is reiterating the old and tired propaganda put forth by the Bush Adm. He is really earning his nickname of Bush-Lite. Peace in the ME will be made with the peoples and not with governments whose legitimacy is at best dubious.
As to the Iran 'specter', Senator Kerry insists on showing his credentials of a learned shakespearian. However, he ignores, among many things, the history of the region. The last time the Arabs and Iran (then called Persia) were at odds (in such case the Arabs were the conquerors!) it was 1400 years ago. It is only the propaganda and influence of the neocons among corrupt Arab rulers that have created an artificial psychosis among 'moderates'.
As to their cooperation with Israel, it is closer to a death warrant than a perspective of survival.
As to the pressure to be exerted on Hamas, well, the latter was not enjoying a vacation. Yet it survived and 'moderates' WILL PAY THE PRICE OF THEIR DUPLICITY, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. A BON ENTENDEUR, SALUT!
