Israel warns Hezbollah of shooting down an Israel AF jet as it violates Lebanon's sovereignty.."

OVER LEBANON! Not over Sderot, Herzelia, Nahariya or Tel Aviv... OVER LEBANON. In
Haaretz, here

"Israeli planes routinely (AND in a clear VIOLATION of Lebanon's sovereignty) fly over southern Lebanon in an effort to collect intelligence about Hezbollah activities, and Israel currently enjoys unchallenged superiority in the air. Any attempt by Hezbollah to deploy anti-aircraft capabilities would alter the balance of power to Israel's detriment..."

This new Israeli warning that it has the right both to violate Lebanese airspace and to attack Lebanon if it attempts to protect its airspace comes on the heels of Defense Minister Barak's February 2 assertion of the right to attack Lebanon if it imports weapons not approved by Israel. Israel has recently been carrying out a series of highly provocative actions against Lebanon, including mock air attacks and mobilization of its troops along the border. Whether all this is simply to warn Hezbollah not to take revenge against Israel for last year’s murder of Imad Mughniyah or results from a long-range Israeli plan in which Gaza was Stage I and another war with Lebanon Stage II on the road to Tehran remains an open question.

Imagine the reaction if Iran were to mobilize an overwhelming military force along Israel's border, send jet fighters into its airspace, and assert the right to attack if Israel imported arms without its approval!
