If terrorism is any movement that opposes US foreign policy then most of the Arab world is a terrorist organization or part of it. People like David Brooks, who have never spoken to an Arab (those at least who are not concerned by pleasing the 'white man'), who has never set foot in a Palestinian refugee camp, who has never read about the misery caused by the bunch of retrograds who constitute Arab governments allied to the US and complacent about Israel's perpetual crimes against Palestinians, people like David Brooks will always publish asinine comments about the region. And they are paid a ton of money to write such nonesense and nobody will dare to make him accountable for his statements. So much for being open minded and fair. 'Israel can do no wrong. Arabs can do no right'. With such sentiments, no wonder there is no movement toward peace in the region.
