Saad Hariri opts for de-escalation in Northern Lebanon ..

This from an opposition leader in North Lebanon: (with permission)
"...At the eleventh hour (at 10:00PM Beirut time), and in need of a show of force to refurbish a much tarnished 'praetorian' image, Future movement leader Saad Hariri reverses an order to escalate in Northern Lebanon against the Tripolitan Alawis & Karameh loyalists... The order to escalate in the North was given earlier on Friday after deliberations with Future Northern Command and Samir Geagea', who 'guaranteed the neutralization' of Suleiman Frangieh's if the later should join the fray.
However, the balance tipped in favor of de-escalation at the behest the Future 'Beiruti Entourage', who were vehemently against such rash moves, for they felt that Beirut, fresh out of a total Future rout, was the natural theater for an Opposition reprisal! The 'Beirutis' felt that their city was at the mercy of Opposition Forces on the one hand and an "untrustworthy" Lebanese Army's Commander. Coincidentally, March 14 hawks are heretofore not mincing their words whenever talking about Army Commander Michel Suleiman..."

Samir Geagea is always eager to "neutralize" anything, whether it's an ally or a foe. Just like when he vowed to "neutralize" Aoun's FPM in one of March 14 meetings.
Listening to his speech yesterday, his anti-militia stand and lauding Jumblat's 28 years of "resisting" the Syrian hegemony, i couldn't help but to wonder about the acute state of oblivion this bald guy is living in.

Regarding the de-escalation in North Lebanon, Hariri seems to think otherwise today; his goons are on a rampage frenzy in Akkar as of this morning.

Salem you bigot! looool
why do you attack "bald" men?

In the North, it's all bravado ... to calm the clans of those killed in Beirut ... it's of limited effect. The lithmus test, (Beirut sunni bloc) is either: beat + disgusted + disillusioned + disappointed ... Suad knows all this!

Oops, i guess i touched on a androgenic alopecia soft spot. My mistake, apologies gpc :)
I guess i have to consider another nickname for the Maarab freak show.

It seems they negotiated a frail deal in Tripoli, something along the lines of a cease fire and base barricading but Aakkar is still quite hot; especially between SSNP and FM.

I heard that in Beirut, there's a double outrage between FM hardliners against HA/Amal and Jumblat. He turned his back on them in a heartbeat. So much for the "we will take the rockets from their hands" chutzpah.
