"An old friend of mine. Friend may not be the word. Anyhow the Israelis persuaded him to set off a car bomb in a Damascus bus station. He used the Guardians of the Cedars, paid them something like $200,000. Bomb went off as requested. Point two is Syria these days is completely corrupt, you buy what you want."

These so-called 'experts' on the ME think they can peddle all sorts of nonesense. The Guardians of the Cedars, sworn enemies of Arabs and Muslims are free to roam in Syria and know the whereabouts of IM? What kind of 'insight' is that? And already, the sum paid for the killing is already known? Is Mr. Baer involved?

Baer is notorious for bragging. I don't really trust the guy. He has a habit of stealing something others have written and passing it as his own knowledge.
He was once quoted on something in New York Times about how Iad Allawi's group was carrying out bombings and assassinations in Iraq in 1990s under CIA Contract.
It turns out he got that from Patrick Cockburn's book on Saddam, "Out of Ashes".

he;s not saying the GOTC did it, cant u guys read it properly...its just saying that with the right amount of money u can find alot of candidates from lebanese factions, or even syrian intellegince, can do it on ur behalf...the developments in the days 2 come will show who killed him...if anyone strays from their norm then be sure its them...
