Jim Hoagland is in no hurry nowadays. He will not press for bombings & landings and strategic take-outs. He believes that "the diplomatic effort to assemble a united international front against Iran is paying off." And he reads in President Bush's "hesitation" a policy of choice whereby "... History, ancient and recent, shows that his best option is to continue on the high road of multilateral, peaceful pressures..."
From one Washingtonian to another: Who are you kidding Jim? The WH (more precisely the OVP's Branch of it) would have it no other way but to obliterate the Regime in Tehran off the map. The Iranians have called the US's bluff, and Washington is very much on its way to wipe that tear off!
