Mubarak rejects US "defence umbrella" over Iran

World Bulletin, here
"... Mubarak rejected any participation of so-called extended U.S. "defence umbrella" what Clinton says against Iran's nuclear programme.
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, in Washington for talks with the U.S. administration told an interview with the state-controlled daily al-Ahram on Monday said Egypt would not be part of it as it would not allow foreign troops or experts on its land. ..." (But it would allow Israeli warships & submarines to transit through...)

Then why did he allow Israeli warplanes to enter Egyptian airspace without at least attempting to shoot them down during Operation Cast Lead?
