I like it when complete novices start commenting on one of the world's most complex political environments. But the author really needs to go back to Lebanon 101--Jumblatt, a Druze, cannot be President.
I wouldn't call the US support to Gea'gea's presidency 'switching horses', I would consider it as one more effort by the US to precipitate Lebanon into civil war.
